Welcome to Trinity Church

Trinity is a Local Ecumenical Partnership formed in 1972 by bringing together three congregations – Eden Place Methodist Church, Stockport Road Methodist Church and Cheadle United Reformed Church. Ever since 1973 our worship and witness has sought to embrace the traditions, treasures and insights of both Methodism and the United Reformed Church and we seek to participate in the life of the Bramhall Methodist Circuit and the North Western Synod.

In addition we are seeking new ways of developing shared worship and mission with the other congregations worshipping in Cheadle and Gatley. Members who have joined in recent years have enabled us to experience the insights of other denominations.

The focal point for our weekly congregational life is our Sunday worship which takes place at 10.30am and 6.30pm. Junior Church and crèche facilities are available at 10.30am. On Thursdays, a simple half hour Communion service at 9.45am.

We seek to offer orders and styles of worship which are varied and participative in the hope that the needs of all are addressed and included. Holy Communion is celebrated monthly – usually on the first Sunday of the month at 10.30am and on the third Sunday of the month at 6.30pm.

We offer an open invitation to any and all who wish to receive the bread and wine on the basis that it is God’s Table not ours. On some occasions communicants are served at the rail and on others in their seats.

Trinity Church is a VISION4LIFE Congregation. Vision4Life is an exciting three-year programme for transforming the church. Year 3 (from Advent 2010) is the Evangelism Year and church life at Trinity will incorporate opportunities to explore how we share the story of our faith with others. vision4life link
